ABSTRAK
Keluarga Berencana (KB) merupakan program penting dalam mengendalikan jumlah penduduk, di mana IUD menjadi salah satu metode kontrasepsi yang efektif. Namun, data menunjukkan bahwa hanya 7,12% dari peserta KB aktif di Indonesia yang menggunakan IUD, dengan Puskesmas Anak Air mencatat jumlah akseptor IUD terendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap dengan penggunaan kontrasepsi IUD di Puskesmas Anak Air Kota Padang Tahun 2024.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang (cross sectional), melibatkan 96 responden dari populasi 601 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji chi-square.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 46,9% responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang kurang, 56,2% menunjukkan sikap negatif, dan hanya 19,8% yang menggunakan IUD. Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan (p=0,000) dan sikap (p=0,000) dengan penggunaan IUD.
Kesimpulan ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap dengan penggunaan kontrasepsi IUD pada akseptor KB di Puskesmas Anak Air Kota Padang tahun 2024. Diharapkan pihak petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Anak Air Kota Padang lebih aktif dan informatif dalam memberikan edukasi mengenai kontrasepsi IUD, sehingga mendorong lebih banyak akseptor KB untuk memilih dan menggunakan IUD sebagai alat kontrasepsi yang efektif.

Relationship Between Level of Knowledge and Attitude with the Use of IUD Contraception in Family Planning Acceptors at Anak Air Health Center, Padang City in 2024

ABSTRACT
Family Planning is an important program in controlling population growth, where IUD is one of the effective contraceptive methods. However, data shows that only 7.12% of active KB participants in Indonesia use IUDs, with Anak Air Health Center recording the lowest number of IUD acceptors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude with the use of IUD contraception at Anak Air Health Center, Padang City in 2024.
The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design, involving 96 respondents from a population of 601 people. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and analysis was carried out using the chi-square test.
The results showed that 46.9% of respondents had a low level of knowledge, 56.2% showed negative attitudes, and only 19.8% used IUDs. Further analysis showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitude (p = 0.000) with IUD use.
The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude with the use of IUD contraception among family planning acceptors at the Anak Air Health Center, Padang City in 2024. It is hoped that health workers at the Anak Air Health Center, Padang City will be more active and informative in providing education about IUD contraception, thereby encouraging more family planning acceptors to choose and use IUD as an effective contraceptive.
