Namun, angka drop out mencapai 5.218 atau sekitar 19%.

ABSTRACT
The number of couples of reproductive age who drop out of contraceptive use in Pasaman Regency is quite high. In 2023, the total number of PUS was recorded at 39,984, with 27,500 active contraceptive acceptors. However, the dropout rate reached 5,218, or approximately 19%. Based on data from 12 sub-districts in Pasaman Regency, Lubuk Sikaping Sub-District recorded the highest dropout cases. Out of a total of 6,820 PUS in this sub-district, only 4,729 remained active users of contraception, while 759 couples, or around 16%, dropped out (SIGA BKKBN, 2023). This study aims to analyze the factors related to the discontinuation of contraceptive use among PUS in the working area of Lubuk Sikaping Public Health Center.
The research design used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 103 PUS who experienced contraceptive dropout. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test.
The study results showed that the majority of respondents had a negative perception of contraception (79.6%), did not receive support from their partners (65.0%), and were influenced by unsupportive socio-cultural factors (71.8%). Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between perception (p = 0.000), partner support (p = 0.000), and socio-cultural factors (p = 0.000) with contraceptive dropout.
In conclusion, perception, partner support, and socio-cultural factors affect the active rate of KB acceptors. Therefore, health workers focused on the health promotion section at the Lubuk Sikaping Health Center need to improve education and provide more intensive information to the community to reduce the number of contraceptive dropouts.
