RINGKASAN EKSLUSIF

World Health Organization (WHO) menetapkan standar rata-rata Sectio Caesarea (SC) di masing-masing negara adalah sekitar 5-15% per 1000 kelahiran di dunia. Rata-rata permasalah di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) seperti RSUD adalah meningkatnya kasus menyusui tidak efektif. Masalah ini diperparah oleh kondisi pasca SC, keterlambatan IMD, dan bendungan ASII. Salah satu terapi non farmakologi untuk meningkatkan produkasi ASI pada masa nifas yaitu terapi woolwich massage. Tujuan penulisan karya ilmiah ini adalah untuk menerapkan asuhan keperawatan maternitas pada pasien Ny. K dengan pemberian woolwich massage terhadap menyusui tidak efektif pada ibu post partum di RSUD Dr. Rasidin Padang tahun 2025.
Berdasarkan hasil pengkajian pad Ny. K didapatkan nyeri post sectio caesarea dengan skala 5, keluhan ASI tidak tidak keluar, payudara bengkak dan nyeri. Diagnosa yang diangkat yaitu nyeri akut, menyusui tidak efektif dan resiko infeksi. Intervensi yang diberikan yaitu dengan pemberian woolwich massage sebagai upaya meningkatkan produksi ASI. Implementasi dilakukan selama tiga hari berturut-turut selama 15-30 menit.
Evaluasi yang diperoleh yaitu penurunan skala nyeri dari skala 5 menjadi skala 2, peningkatkan produksi ASI, rasa nyaman saat menyusui dan terpeuhinya kebutuhan ASI bagi bayi.
Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian woolwich massage efektif dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI pada ibu post sectio caesarea. Saran bagi perawat ruangan agar dapat melakukan intervensi woolwich massage sebagai salah satu penetalaksanaan secara non-farmakologis terhadap peningkatan produksi ASI pada ibu pasca persalinan.

EXCLUSIVE SUMMARY

TThe World Health Organization (WHO) sets the average standard for Caesarean Section (CS) rates in each country at around 5–15% per 1,000 live births worldwide. A common issue in Regional Public Hospitals (RSUD), such as RSUD, is the increasing incidence of ineffective breastfeeding. This problem is exacerbated by post-CS conditions, delayed early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF), and breast engorgement. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to improve breast milk production during the postpartum period is Woolwich massage therapy. The purpose of this scientific paper is to apply maternity nursing care for Mrs. K through Woolwich massage in addressing ineffective breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at Dr. Rasidin Regional General Hospital, Padang, in 2025..
Based on the results of the assessment, Mrs. K experienced post-cesarean section pain with a scale of 5, complaints of ineffective milk flow, breast swelling, and pain. The diagnoses were acute pain, ineffective breastfeeding, and a risk of infection. The intervention provided was Woolwich massage to increase breast milk production. Implementation was carried out for three consecutive days for 15-30 minutes.
The evaluation results included a decrease in pain from a 5 to a 2, increased milk production, increased comfort during breastfeeding, and meeting the baby's milk needs.
It was concluded that Woolwich massage was effective in increasing milk production in post-cesarean mothers. Nurses in the ward are advised to implement Woolwich massage as a non-pharmacological intervention to increase milk production in postpartum mothers.
