RINGKASAN ESKLUSIF
Dengan Terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (Seft) Terhadap Perubahan
Intensitas Nyeri Pada Post Operasi Fraktur Neck Femur Diruangan Zaitun Rsud Rasidin
Padang Tahun 2025”.
T : Nyeri hilang timbul selama 5 – 10 menit, klien mengatakan nyeri bertambah jika kaki
klien digerakkan, klien tampak susah menggerakan kaki. Klien tampak hanya berbaring
Evidence Based Nursing

Medical Surgical Nursing Care for Mrs. K with Spiritual Emotional Freedom
Technique (SEFT) Therapy on Changes in Pain Intensity in Postoperative
Femoral Neck Fractures in the Zaitun Room of Rasidin Regional General
Hospital Padang in 2025.

EXCLUSIVE SUMMARY
In Indonesia, femur fractures account for 42% of all fractures. At the
Rasidin Padang Regional General Hospital in the Zaitun ward, there were 38
cases of fractures from April to June 2025. A fracture is a break in the continuity
of a bone and is determined according to the type and extent of the break.
Fractures are caused by direct blows, crushing forces, and extreme muscle
contractions. One of the treatments for fractures is surgical intervention. This
procedure inevitably leads to acute post-operative pain. One intervention to
reduce pain intensity in fracture patients is Spiritual Emotional Freedom
Technique (SEFT) therapy. The purpose of this KIAN paper is to provide Medical
Surgical Nursing Care for Mrs. K with Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique
(SEFT) Therapy on Changes in Pain Intensity in Postoperative Femoral Neck
Fractures in the Zaitun Room of Rasidin General Hospital, Padang, in 2025.
Findings: P: Pain from a femoral neck fracture, Q: Stabbing pain, R: Pain
felt in the left leg from the hip to the thigh, S: Pain scale 6, T: Pain comes and
goes for 5-10 minutes, client says pain increases when the leg is moved, client
appears to have difficulty moving the leg. The client appears to be lying in bed
only, with activities confined to the bed and assisted by the patient's family.
The diagnosis was acute pain, physical mobility impairment, and risk of
infection. One of the evidence-based nursing (EBN) interventions performed by
the author to reduce pain intensity was SEFT therapy, which was performed for
three consecutive days, once a day for 15 minutes.
After three days of nursing care, the evaluation showed a decrease in pain
levels from 6 to 3. Evidence-based nursing (EBN) using SEFT therapy was found
to reduce pain intensity. Healthcare providers, especially nurses, are expected to
provide comprehensive nursing care to fracture patients, particularly through the
use of SEFT therapy, which has been proven to reduce pain intensity.
